I’ve never felt so immersed in flying, in any flight sim. It makes me not want to fly anything else, including some aircraft from other studios which I used to think were pretty good. This Comanche isn’t just an aircraft. It’s in many ways a simulator within a simulator. It feels like operating a real airplane. Negatives? It’s not the best on frame rate, at least not with relatively weak CPUs (i5 9400 here). Some animation are still not smooth (most were improved in 1.1). And some other, smaller stuff. I hope to see hypoxia simulated one day with oxygen equipment for those 10k+ flights this aircraft is well capable of.

The first plane I had lessons in and would mostly use was G-GBLR (UK). A 1974 built C150. The only thing missing from this addon is that strong smell of avgas with the unique smell you can sense when driving a classic car/aircraft. Incidentally I owned an MGB (1978). When I bought her the smell reminded me of my days in the C150.

Excluding the Comanche for P3d. I have flown Cessna 150s/ 172s and PA 28s. No other GA aircraft, in MSFS comes close, not even X-plane Ga aircraft which I personally think have a more realistic feel to them. Whatever witvhcraft A2A has done with the MSFS flight model etc has made me look forward to finishing work to fly this virtual Comanche again. This is the closest I’ll ever get to flying the planes I mentioned when I had lessons when I was younger. Thanks to Scott and the team for making this as this is the only home sim aircraft on Earth that flies like a real GA aircraft, (I have spent thousands of pounds on aircraft addons etc) with so so much attention to detail. And that’s something everyone involved in development should be incredibly proud of!

What an incredible aircraft. Modelled to perfection. From the simulated walk around to the sound of the rotating beacon you can hear b emote you crank the engine. Such attention to detail is not just modelled, it’s felt, heard and seen.
