Door latch CTD with VR
This does not happen every time, but is frequent enough to be annoying. I use a G2 V2 Reverb. when attempting to latch or unlatch the door, particularly if I am not precise with my mouse placement, this leads to a CTD. I am not referring to the door handle, but specifically to the latch, above the passenger's head. Anybody else experiencing this? I searched this forum and saw no similar topic.

Ive not experience this in VR so far no. Are you running any mods that are injecting any extra sounds into the sim like ambient sounds? Might be worth renaming your community folder and trying running solely with the Comanche as your sole addon in MSFS to see if the issue still remains.
thanks,

Thanks for getting back to me Lewis. I’m using Add-on tracker, which makes it relatively easy to try your suggestion. I think another factor may be slow frame-rates, as it seems more likely to happen in scenery intensive areas. I’ll try it when I’m back at my PC.

Okie dokie as soon as you get down to under 20 frames you will get some issues in MSFS, the smoothness and the clicking ive found to be a bit sketchy and require a couple clicks to get it to take. Aside from that annoying MSFS VR bug in which the mouse itself stutters in movement, grrrrrr that one really is annoying haha.
cheers,
Lewis

Re: Door latch CTD with VR
yeah, I did try emptying my community folder and took off from Montgomery in San Diego. All was good. No problems with latching and unlatching the door. I flew to Catalina Island, opened the door without difficulty, put in chocks, covered my pitot, returned to the cockpit, filled my tanks, closed the door, and reached for the latch...BAM!!! CTD. It is weird that it always seems to be that action. I was having some mouse stuttering, and didn't wait to see the "hand" before clicking. I am saving my pennies to upgrade from a 2070S to a 4090. I do think that will help. Still loving flying this plane.
