Man it feels great to fly this beauty again.

Yes Hook, both the internal and external sounds work perfectly without any modifications to the aircraft. I got the idea to reinstall the aircraft the way I did from an older forum discussion I had found regarding similar issues with the sound of the B377. Since I had tried everything else I could think of, I tried the reinstall method that I previously described and it worked perfectly. In my opinion, if you need one single reason to keep FSX installed on your system is to be able to fly amazing aircraft like this one

Hahaha! The roar of those massive engines that the Stratocruser makes is just awesome. I have not tried the new MSFS Comanche but I do have the A2A Comanche for P3D. I love the airplane but the that buzzing-like sound that the Comanche engine makes took some getting used to for me. I do also love the engine sounds the powerful little C182 makes. The engine sounds of the Stratocruiser, Constellation and C182 (the only A2A planes I own) are engines I could listen to all day long.

Sometimes I like to turn down the engine volumes of airplane engines that I don't like and get some music going on Spotify while I fly, but FSX/P3D A2A planes have such good quality sounds I would rather listen to the engines.

No problem Hook, I probably will use RADitor to change the radius so the camera isn't so far away from the plane like it is by default though. It literally takes me about three minutes to bring the camera closer using the default method (Ctrl+-). I like having a much closer up view of my planes without using zoom since zoom distorts the view too much.

If you really miss the Stratocruiser I recommend you reinstall FSX and give it a try and relive some old memories. I notice that when many people switch to a new simulator, they ditch the old one along with all the hundreds of dollars worth of add-ons they own for it which is such a waste in my opinion. My reasoning is why ditch the old one when you don't have to as long as you have enough hard drive space. There's no law saying you can only use one flight simulator at a time. Why flush all that money spent down the toilet when you don't have to? In fact, I have four flight simulators installed right now and that's not counting combat flight simulators and I fly which ever one I want, depending on my current mood

Very Interesting, I didn't know that P3D planes could be modified for MSFS. I'll have to look into that though I do end up using P3Dv5 much more than MSFS for various reasons anyway. I also have X-Plane 11 which I also have modded the bejesus out of and I mostly switch between P3Dv5, X-Plane 11 or FSX when I want to enjoy some classic fun like the B377.

That is disappointing that CumulusX will only work in FSX. I've in fact, just started getting back into gliding. I dusted off the good old DG-808S and redid the tutorials, then I found a whole website dedicated to Gliders for FSX, P3D and now MSFS that I've been messing around with, they are all freeware which you can find here: https://www.fsglider.de/p_e.htm (for anyone interested). It's quite a lot of fun and adding CumulusX makes gliding so much more realistic than without it in P3D.

I wish you the best of luck when you decide to give the B377 in P3Dv2, I really hope it will work for you so you can experience flying this beauty again.

Sounds more complicated than I want to get into. One thing I never messed around with is learning how to edit, mod and fix planes very much, I wish I knew how to do all of that stuff but I only know a few basic things (and a few solutions I find on the web) when it comes to the aircraft themselves. You should be proud of your custom paint job if it turned out well, even that I suck at doing, creating good looking liveries is not an easy thing to master.

I do really like GAS planes though, I think they are underrated aircraft. I personally love the Ryan B-5 Brougham and the Luscombe Phantom. I also have their Stearman 4E too which was a gift given to me by the one of the developers after I had sent them an email thanking them for making such great, affordable, classic airplanes. They are all really good people there. Turns out they are retired real life pilots that really enjoy simulation and making unique planes and to "keep the history alive" as one of them put it.

Looks really cool but I don't know if it will work in P3Dv5 but if not I will just fly it in FSX. Flying gliders themselves are underrated in my opinion. Once I started to get the hang of catching the different types of lift, it has become a lot of fun and a unique experience.

P.S. The Stratocruiser sound and everything else is still working just fine after I've done several more flights with it. I'm so happy to finally have it working again, it is a plane I'm sorry I ever stopped flying in the first place, I never really gave it the attention it deserved but I plan to focus on it now and actually study it for a while, it's more than worthy, It really is so unique. I enjoy modern and classic jet airliners too but there is nothing quite as cool as flying vintage/classic prop airliners like this
