Thank you cgjimeneza.
Good reference material here. The gunner manual is excellent.

This site is a familiar one to old BoB hands, being created by long time BDG beta tester and researcher Snip, AKA von Schnitter on various fora. It has lots of documents from WWII air forces in all theatres, including a substantial amount on the BoB. You can wander through here for hours...

That's it. After reading the gunnery manual I quit.
I have a hard enough time trying to stay in formation.

yes, I have seen an improvement in my hitting the enemy planes. Specially Ju-87 and Me-109.... after hitting those running like hell to my base...Bader wrote:Thank you cgjimeneza.

I use to lead them but now I know how much lead to apply "for real"

Re: Some Reference Documents for BOBII Players
Finally I got familiar enough with BoB2 to move on to the next level. To do this first I need to know one thing - is it possible to fly by real manuals in BoB2. I mean if real manual says that Spitfire's engine reaches its maximum power at altitude x will the in-game altitude for max power be the same? I would like to avoid situation where I spent time searching for real material just to find out they are useless as a BoB2 aid. In Il-2 the only way to go was to use this program http://war.by-airforce.com/downloads/il ... -4.07.html
In the meantime I'll make an assumption that BoB2 "can be flown by charts" and I'm asking for any materials with data similar to these:

http://www.spitfireperformance.com/n3171.html
http://www.spitfireperformance.com/spit1vrs109e.html
http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/P-39.html
but in a much condensed and basic form (ideally - charts) like this:

New Zealanders with the RAF Vol. 1.
Excellent on-line reference book with some remarkable images. This for example has to be a propaganda retouch or outright fake:

Re: Some Reference Documents for BOBII Players
I've found this while I was searching for WWII aircraft recognition guide for BoB2 aircrafts at least.
http://digital.library.unt.edu/data/gov ... 1fb6346bd5
It's an Aircraft Recognition System figure showing general types of aircraft elements used for fast recognition (not actual aircraft elements). If anyone knows the title of the complete book, please let me post it here.
This site can serve not only as a complete aircraft recognition source for all BoB2 aircrafts but also as a basic level source on Battle of Britain history.

Re: Some Reference Documents for BOBII Players
The handwriting on the outer border says "Vol. I, #13, July 10, 1942" So it will be a magazine issue. No doubt american , from the aircraft.Bucic wrote:I've found this while I was searching for WWII aircraft recognition guide for BoB2 aircrafts at least.

Re: Some Reference Documents for BOBII Players
Thanks but those 3 way views from the The Battle of Britain History Site will do just finePV wrote: The handwriting on the outer border says "Vol. I, #13, July 10, 1942" So it will be a magazine issue. No doubt american , from the aircraft.
EDIT:
Would something like this be any helpful for newbies? WIP, Inkscape, rapid work (as most things from me).
Edit:
Like I said it's a draft type work so excuse my poor DTP, margins etc. 2-page PDF in 7z archive.
File broken. PDF exported in Inkscape may freeze computer/printer during printing. I will try to export it differently.
Edit:
This is the best I could get with Inkscape PDF being not functional.
